type='text'>Coming Soon...

Coming soon to Operation Milsim; a brand new product to Canada and woodsballers, Sandana Paintball has hooked up with Operation Milsim to provide some of the best headwear in the game!

Sandana was started back in 1990 by a young man that simply wanted to keep the sweat out of his eyes and the sun off of his neck. The sun on the beaches of California could be tough to handle, so any extra protection was always a good thing. A piece of cloth was contructed long enough to cover the back of someone's neck, ends long enough to tie around the head with a sewn in piece of terry cloth to absorb the sweat; the Sandana was born.

Sandana History

Sandana was started back in 1990 by a young man that simply wanted to keep the sweat out of his eyes and the sun off of his neck. The sun on the beaches of California could be tough to handle, so any extra protection was always a good thing. A piece of cloth was contructed long enough to cover the back of someone's neck, ends long enough to tie around the head with a sewn in piece of terry cloth to absorb the sweat; the Sandana was born.

A new version was created with the same concept of the Original, but was constructed with a mesh back. The mesh backed version was more breathable and light weight in comparison to the Original. The newly named Pro-Line became a hit with outdoor enthusiasts.

Among the Original and Pro-Line was also the headband. Many people take this style for granted.

Sandana is now mostly known within the paintball community. In the early days it was not a paintball company at all. Booths were setup at concerts, on the streets of Ventura Beach and at the MAGIC Men's Apparel Trade Show in Las Vegas. With this exposure, big names throughout the world such as Ted Nugent, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and many more were wearing Sandana products. The companie's Brockum collection included licensed designs from bands like AC/DC, Bon Jovi and Pink Floyd; which were huge hits with the avid fan of their music.

The owner of the company thought that the function of the Sandana would be well suited for the rising sport of paintball so he headed down to a local field and pitched sales out of his car. Paintballers soon became part of the companies expanding customer base. At this time Sandana products were carried in stores like Spencer's and Journey Shoes throughout the country, so the sales in the paintball industry were small in comparison to everyone else.

Around this time the pattern Sandanaflage was created. Players now know this pattern as Flying Skull or Venomwear. Venom Wear was really the clothing line produced by Sandana. They were created with distinctive patches and logo's that included "Sandana" and "Venomwear". Products in this line ranged from V-neck tops, jackets, shorts, jerseys, hats, shirts, wind breakers, and two styles of pants. These were available in brown and green Sandanaflage; purple and green Snakestripe patterns along with a few camouflage prints being released.

After the peak of the companies success the owner moved to Hawaii to persue other opportunites. From the time that he left until early 2007 the company was still producing products but was almost impossible to find and hard to purchase from directly. There were still stores carrying the products but trying to get to the source was a hard task. Now that the owner is back in the same place that he was in the '90's; it is now easier than ever for paintball players to get the head wear that they want without paying inflated prices for it.

While competitors knock off our products and call it a Sandana, we laugh. It is a compliment to our sucess that the Sandana name is being used to label anything that goes over your head and has velcro fasteners.

Keep yourself tuned in and pick up one of the best pieces of paintballing history available at Operation Milsim!

2009 Summer "Low Power" Episode

Canada Day Big Game in Niagara Falls Ontario!

Fate of the Flag @ DMZ Paintball; Wednesday, July 1st 2009

What started out as a Social Studies project at the University of Toronto has quickly created a state of chaos across Canada.
